This week's video was set to Land Down Under. The stars were (drum roll, please!): Austin, Laila, Lucy, and Maggie. With less winter gear and a small pack, we were able to clock 6.5k. Nice work, team!

Finally, after a long winter of Netflix watching, spring has arrived. And with spring's arrival, people often want to get off the couch and into fighting form. I came across this helpful article in the New York Times, filled with great tips for both novice and experienced runners. Although, the writer failed to mention one great motivator: GET A HIGH ENERGY DOG WHO NEEDS TO RUN!!

This week's video features Riley (Muppet), Laila (Ms. Thing), Hank (the Tank) and Maggie (Mags) running like the rock stars that they are. All are running beautifully in step and continue to kick butt on a daily basis despite Spring's many distractions; ahem, squirrels and sticks- we see you!
Today is a momentous day in the "Life of Riley (aka Muppet)," as her lovely mom, Lisa, often refers to it. Riley has been a wonderful addition for Lisa, me, and her fellow runners, all of whom adore her. She is a playful doodle through and through, with so much love for people and puppies alike. So, once more, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RILEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! Quite possibly my favourite video to date. Six dogs. ALL kicking butt, running their hearts out, and sporting massive smiles on their faces. Nicely done Laila, Lucy, Mags, Austin, Calle, and Riley!!

Lucy joined the runners last month and is kicking butt; she runs like a champ and has demonstrated incredible behavioural benefits in a short time. Prior to joining the run, Lucy needed up to 4 walks/day and acted out on a regular basis. Her parents happily reported earlier this week that Lucy only requires one short additional walk and that she is calmer, more easy going, and on track to be the dog she is destined to be. THIS is why we run.
Today's run marked a very important milestone for the runners: no winter gear was needed for the doggies- no paw protector, no jackets, no booties. With temperatures reaching 15 degrees, I was able to ditch the winter gear too, running in a t-shirt instead. We can't wait for more of this gorgeous weather!!
Laila (Ms. Thing), Austin (A-Town), Hank (the Tank) and Riley (Muppet) running to Love Me Now. Try NOT to smile along with these gangsters ...
